Biographies
Alejandra Oliva was born on November 2, 1989 in Havana Cuba. She began in 2004 at the San Alejandro National School of Fine Arts where she was selected for the CUBA-U.K Solidarity in Art exchange, between the Cardinal Wiseman High School in London and the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts. He graduated as the first national record from art schools and with a gold diploma in 2008. In 2008 he entered the Faculty of Visual Arts at the Higher Institute of Art (I.S.A.), studying the specialty of Performing Arts. In 2009 he changed his career to the specialty of Visual Arts. He stood out in his participation within the artistic collective 4ta Pragmatica, led by the Cuban artist René Francisco Rodríguez. He participated in various group exhibitions. In 2012 it was presented at the Eleventh Havana Biennial. She graduated as the first record of her course in 2014. In 2010 she was selected by the Artefatto contest in Trieste, Italy, to participate in the Candy World exhibition at the Umberto Veruda Hall. In 2013 he won third place in the drawing category at the Art Fest @ contest at Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida, USA. He began his work as an artistic duo with Manuel Daniel Lugo Rodríguez in 2013. Together they held various personal exhibitions in Cuba. His works are in private collections in England, the United States, Mexico, Italy and Cuba.
Manuel Lugo was born on October 3, 1989 in Havana, Cuba. He entered the San Alejandro National School of Fine Arts in 2004, where, due to his exemplary development, he was selected for the CUBA-U.K Solidarity in Art exchange between the Cardinal Wiseman High School in London and the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts. He graduated in 2008 with a gold diploma. He started in 2009 at the Faculty of Visual Arts at the Instituto Superior de Arte (I.S.A.), studying the specialty of Restorer of Movable Property. He stood out in important restoration works in national museums, in addition to participating in group and personal exhibitions both in Cuba and abroad. He graduated as the first record of his course in 2016. In 2010 he was selected by the Artefatto contest in Trieste, Italy, where he participates in the Candy World exhibition at the Umberto Veruda Hall. In 2013 he won third place in painting in the Art Fest @ contest at Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida, USA He worked on various collective murals in Havana, Cuba. His works are in private collections in England, the United States, Venezuela, Mexico, Panama, Italy and Cuba. He began his work as an artistic duo with Alejandra Oliva Oliveros in 2013. Together they held various personal exhibitions in Cuba.
